These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of the epcom.lk website and services operated by EPCOM Technology ("EPCOM", "we", "us", "our"). By accessing epcom.lk or creating an account, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our website.

1. About Our Service

epcom.lk is an online quotation platform that allows customers to browse computer hardware products, build PC configurations, and submit price quotation requests to EPCOM Technology.

Quoted prices are indicative and valid for the period specified on the quotation (generally 48 hours from the time of issue), after which they are subject to change without notice. We reserve the right to withdraw or amend any quotation prior to acceptance.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years of age to create an account or submit a quotation request. By registering, you represent that you are 18 or older and that the information you provide is accurate and complete.

3. Account Registration and Security

• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
• You must not share your login details with any other person.
• You agree to notify us immediately at sales@epcom.lk if you suspect unauthorised access to your account.
• We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or are used fraudulently.
• You may close your account at any time by contacting us. Account closure is subject to our data retention obligations under the Personal Data Protection Act No. 9 of 2022 — see our Privacy Policy for details.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Submit false, misleading, or fraudulent quotation requests
• Use automated tools, scripts, or bots to access or scrape the website
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the website or its underlying systems
• Interfere with or disrupt the website's operation or infrastructure
• Use the website for any unlawful purpose under Sri Lankan law or applicable international law
• Impersonate any person or entity, or misrepresent your affiliation with a business
• Upload or transmit malicious code, viruses, or harmful material

Violations may result in immediate account suspension and, where appropriate, referral to law enforcement under the Computer Crimes Act No. 24 of 2007 of Sri Lanka.

5. Product Information and Pricing

• Product descriptions, specifications, and images are provided in good faith but may contain errors or omissions. We make no warranty as to their accuracy.
• Prices displayed on the website are indicative and exclusive of any applicable government levies, taxes, or delivery charges unless explicitly stated.
• Availability is not guaranteed until confirmed by EPCOM Technology at the time of order processing.
• EPCOM Technology reserves the right to correct pricing errors at any time, including after a quotation has been issued.

6. Intellectual Property

All content on epcom.lk — including text, graphics, logos, images, product data, and software — is the property of EPCOM Technology or its licensors and is protected under Sri Lankan and international intellectual property law. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from any content without our prior written consent.

Third-party trademarks (e.g. manufacturer brand names and logos) are the property of their respective owners and are used on this site for identification purposes only.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

The website and its content are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

We do not warrant that the website will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the website at any time without notice.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Sri Lankan law, including the Consumer Affairs Authority Act No. 9 of 2003, EPCOM Technology shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the website or any quotation submitted through it — including loss of profit, data, or business opportunity.

Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes EPCOM Technology's liability for:

• Death or personal injury caused by our negligence
• Fraudulent misrepresentation
• Any liability that cannot be excluded under Sri Lankan consumer protection law

9. Third-Party Links and Services

epcom.lk may contain links to third-party websites (e.g. manufacturer pages, social media). We have no control over and assume no responsibility for the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third-party sites. We encourage you to review the terms and privacy policies of any site you visit.

10. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Sri Lanka.

Before initiating legal proceedings, we encourage you to contact us directly so we can attempt to resolve any dispute amicably.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may revise these Terms at any time by posting an updated version on this page with a revised "Last updated" date. Continued use of the website after such changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. For material changes, we will provide reasonable notice to registered customers by email.
